Innovation Fellows Program

About the Program

The Innovation Fellows program provides the opportunity for aspiring Sikh American entrepreneurs to develop professionally through the exposure and evaluation of breakthrough technologies emerging out of federal laboratories and academic research centers over the summer.

Fellows will be challenged to unlock their creative potential and develop a customer-centered mindset required to take on complex challenges in today’s world.

What Innovation Fellows Will Do:

Innovation Fellows will conduct in-depth assessments of technologies and identify potential use cases and market opportunities.

Over a period of eight weeks, participants will be selected to form interdisciplinary teams to pursue the application of technology through customer discovery and feedback analysis, by establishing technology-problem fit, and finally presenting an overall technology summary pitch based on the results of their efforts to a panel of technology experts.

What Happens After the Program:

Innovation Fellows can choose to continue working towards licensing the technology from the federal laboratory or academic research center for further research and development. Please note that the decision to license any technology lies solely with the licensing authority.
