The story featuring Singh’s art and message is prominently featured with a photo spread in the new publication.

“I feel honored to be part of this effort. now that I get to see the first issue in its entirety,” said Singh. “There are stories of musicians, graphic artists, soldiers who served in our armed forces and organizations fighting for the rights of migrant workers. The wide range of visual storytelling is quite breathtaking.”

The magazine was founded by photographer Nicole Nodland who started her career as the personal photographer to musician and artist Prince. Since then, Nodland has photographed many American icons including Ray Charles, Lana Del Rey, and Stevie Wonder. “America is the greatest of conundrums,” said Noland. “It’s a land that seems to constantly transform – a nation whose main ideals are freedom, tolerance and justice for all. Though it often feels we are far from reaching them, these ideals still leave one feeling hopeful in these difficult times.” Us of America will feature free-thinkers, visionaries, and everyday heroes. The magazine, published bi-annually, will be complemented by a year-round online presence. The debut issue is now available on newsstands across the U.S., including Barnes & Noble bookstores.
