As the coronavirus pandemic rages on, and as the number of cases increases there is a greater need to understand COVID-19 research activities. The Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund is pleased to invite Jatinder Kaur, MS with experience working in the pharma industry to provide an overview of SARS-CoV-2 virology and its effects on the body. She will also share a glimpse of COVID-19 areas of research as well as outlook with possible future treatment and prevention options. We will also cover COVID-19 symptoms and recommendations to stay safe while treatment options are under development.
Jatinder Kaur, MS is a Scientific Director of the Hepatology/Virology group at Abbvie working in Medical Affairs. She has been with AbbVie for the last 3 years but has over 20 years of pharma experience both on the diagnostics side with Abbott Labs as well as a variety of pharma companies. Prior to joining AbbVie, Jatinder was Head of Strategy and Operations for Genomic Medicine at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. She has an extensive background in research design and supporting various phases of Clinical Development and operations. Jatinder holds a Bachelor degree in Science from Loyola University and a Master of Science from Benedictine University focusing on Human Physiology.
