Building on the proven success of the SikhLEAD Internship Program in Washington, D.C., we’re launching an exciting new chapter in Los Angeles, where Sikh students and emerging professionals will gain hands-on experience in film, television, and journalism, the industries that shape how America sees us.

The Media Internship extends SikhLEAD’s mission to cultivate leaders across all fields of influence, moving from civic and policy spaces into storytelling, creative expression, and cultural representation.

What You’ll Experience

🎬 Internship Placements

Work alongside professionals at partner organizations in film, television, and journalism. Get real-world experience in production, storytelling, and media creation.

Connect with established Sikh and South Asian creatives, producers, and media professionals who understand your journey and can guide your career path.

📚 Professional Development

Attend film screenings, hear from guest speakers in weekly workshops, and tour a Hollywood studio. Build the skills and knowledge to thrive in media.

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for passionate, driven students ready to make their mark in media and storytelling.

  • Sikh-identifying students currently enrolled as juniors, seniors, or graduate students or recent graduates
  • Demonstrated interest in media, storytelling, or journalism through coursework, projects, or personal work
  • Open to participants nationwide, with priority given to applicants based in or able to relocate to Los Angeles for the summer program
