WASHINGTON D.C — SALDEF is excited to announce that the first-ever Sikh American public service announcement (PSA) will air again for the ninth consecutive year. Throughout July, the message conveying Sikh values, and Sikh American lives, will air nationally on the Comcast network of channels.
As a part of a collaboration between SALDEF and Comcast, the PSA, which first debuted on cable in 2014, has aired over 1 million times, with donated airtime of over $11.5 million dollars – making the PSA the single most-watched video to introduce our fellow Americans to Sikhs and Sikhi.
In 2014, SALDEF partnered with Comcast to air the first-ever Sikh American PSA across America. For almost a decade, the PSA has introduced a wide audience to Sikh Americans and their vital contributions to the American fabric.

SALDEF remains committed to raising the Sikh American voice which continues to be critical as we see a rise in hate crimes against our community. This PSA has a rich history of minimizing stereotypes and portraying an authentic reflection of our community as we work towards inclusion and representation for all Sikh Americans.
SALDEF is incredibly thankful to Comcast for their ongoing support to create awareness about diverse communities by continuing to broadcast the Sikh American PSA. Comcast, a global media and technology company, has aired this PSA as part of the company’s commitment to educating audiences on a variety of issues.
Please make a 100% tax-deductible donation to support SALDEF so we can continue to educate our nation about our values and make a meaningful impact on the perception of Sikhs in America.
