Why SikhLEAD Works

Why SikhLEAD Works [Your Generosity Will be Matched] “SALDEF is giving students like me the opportunity to increase our community’s visibility to the highest levels while simultaneously investing in our young leaders.” Harmann Singh, 2014 SikhLEAD Intern Harmann in front of Capitol   I’m Harmann Singh, a SikhLEAD alum who had the unique opportunity to work in the White House as an Intern this past summer. I had a front row seat to some remarkable opportunities and I was proud to bring the Sikh image and voice to the White House every day! But I could not have done this without SALDEF and its SikhLEAD program. The SikhLEAD Internship Program gave me, and many other young Sikhs like me, an opportunity to accelerate our careers, increase our community’s visibility to the highest levels while simultaneously investing in our young leaders. This program was built because of YOUR support to SALDEF and I am deeply grateful. I’m also proud that my SikhLEAD internship class organized the first-ever langar on Capitol Hillthis summer! And even after our terrific 10 weeks in D.C., my peers and I have continued to benefit from a network of SikhLEAD alumni who are pursuing careers paths that better the world for all across this nation. None of this progress could have been possible without your support! Please join me in supporting SALDEF generously at this time so that we can continue to build the SikhLEAD program. Donations received by December 21 will be doubled (up to $100,000).   Humbly, Harmann Preet Singh (Harmann Singh)
