SALDEF has placed over 25 interns on Capitol Hill, at the White House, and across Washington, D.C. through its 8-12 week SikhLEAD Internship Program while also hosting a series of special programming—including leadership workshops and networking events—to develop the next generation of Sikh American leaders. Students explore a potential career track, create a network of professional and personal contacts, develop real-world skills, and gain experience that will open doors in the future. SALDEF awards all selected participants with a $1,500 stipend for the summer. The application deadline is Sunday, January 31, 2016. (NOTE: Applicants are encouraged to have a resume vetted by a career counselor or career development office; all applications submitted after the midnight deadline EST on January 31, 2016 will NOT be considered.)
