I hope you’re enjoying a peaceful and joyous holiday season with your family and friends.
Tomorrow, we are going to be closing the books on our 2017 fundraising. Why is that so important? Because if we don’t make our year-end goal of raising $250,000, we won’t have the funds we need to accomplish our plans for next year. We still have $63,857 left to raise to meet our target and need your help to make it.
We have an ambitious set of plans for next year around continuing the success of our Know Your Rights Forums across the country, working to ensure every eligible Sikh American votes through our SikhVote program, working to educate the mainstream and law enforcement about Sikhs, and continuing to develop the next generation of Sikh American leaders through our SikhLEAD program.
We can only do this with your support!
Thank you for giving life to our values, to creating change. Thanks to your support, SALDEF has become an organization that can create change at scale. We believe our achievements have an impact because we work on behalf of others and we work with others in order to create the change our values demand everyday.
Our work is based on our values. The Sikh value of chardi kala, perpetual optimism. The Sikh value of nimrata, humility. The Sikh value of seva, service. The Sikh value of sangat, community. And finally, the Sikh value of sarbat da bhalla, for the welfare of all.
