Research Internship – Los Angeles

This research internship will support the SALDEF staff in the Los Angeles office. Ideal candidate must be resourceful and self-motivated. Projects will include:

  • Conducting research on progressive politicians to generate a list of allies for our policy work in California and across the nation.
  • Conducting research on various police and fire department chiefs to build a relationship and advocate for inclusion of Sikhs in their departments.
  • Assist with SALDEF’s work on bullying experienced by Sikh children between the age of 6 and 18 years old in public schools throughout the nation. You will organize and synthesize collected surveys and conduct workshops to administer more surveys throughout the state. You will also be trained to train our survey administration team across the country (no travel will be required as we conduct these trainings via video conferencing.)
  • Assist with program evaluation and developmental tasks for SALDEF’s Leadership Development and Internship Programs.

Time: 10-16 hours per week.

Qualifications: Must have completed two years of undergraduate course work. Graduate students are encouraged to apply.
